Peter Hurkett
Peter has over 20 years experience managing projects, particularly in the areas of infrastructure and technical application support of roads, asset management, decision support, licensing and registration systems. Prior to his transition to a primarily procurement and contract management focus, Peter led the design, development and implementation of full data centre, disaster recovery facilities and procedures for Queensland Transport’s mainframe and dependant systems.
Peter has extensive experience as a project manager and procurement resource for a number of concurrent programs, both ICT and business led. Major focuses of his roles have included providing sourcing advice for strategic and the development of complex tender documentation and evaluation plans for BPO and ICT programs. Alongside this he has guided and mentored colleagues, management and operational contract managers on contractual and commercial matters, compliant procurement practices (including as probity officer) and the GITC Framework.
